Con el nuevo Eclipse Pro, la marca se plante\u00f3 un reto diferente: plasmar ese impulso en un casco de carretera que no solo fuera r\u00e1pido en el t\u00fanel de viento, sino tambi\u00e9n realmente \u00fatil en todas las disciplinas y usos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tras dos semanas de rodaje con el Eclipse Pro, incluida un evento en Barcelona que culmin\u00f3 con vueltas bajo un brillante sol catal\u00e1n en el vel\u00f3dromo de la ciudad, qued\u00f3 claro. En la talla M, el casco pesa unos competitivos 280 gramos, lo que lo sit\u00faa firmemente en la categor\u00eda de casco multiuso de alto rendimiento, en lugar de en el nicho de los cascos pesados por priorizar la aerodin\u00e1mica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Eclipse Pro debut\u00f3 en competici\u00f3n en el Tour de Francia 2025 y, desde entonces, se han conseguido m\u00e1s de 20 victorias profesionales con el \u00faltimo lanzamiento del Giro. Con Team Visma | Lease a Bike y CANYON\/\/SRAM zondacrypto en carretera, y ciclistas como Rosa Kloser y Kate Courtney en terrenos m\u00e1s accidentados, el casco ya se ha puesto a prueba y lo ha superado con creces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gran parte del desarrollo se bas\u00f3 en comentarios de ciclistas y datos de escaneo 3D del equipo masculino que patrocinan. Esta colaboraci\u00f3n dio forma a una de las filosof\u00edas de dise\u00f1o fundamentales: los ciclistas reales no mantienen una posici\u00f3n est\u00e1tica. Pasan mucho tiempo con la cabeza gacha cuando aceleran a fondo y con la cabeza erguida en situaciones t\u00e9cnicas o t\u00e1cticas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La marca estima que los ciclistas permanecen con la cabeza gacha aproximadamente la mitad del tiempo. La silueta del Eclipse Pro se perfeccion\u00f3 espec\u00edficamente para mantener la eficiencia en estos \u00e1ngulos cambiantes. \u00abLa forma sigue a la funci\u00f3n\u00bb fue uno de los lemas de este proyecto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-diez-meses-dos-formas\"><strong>Diez meses, dos formas<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A diferencia del Aerohead II, que pas\u00f3 por 12 iteraciones, desarrolladas principalmente en el t\u00fanel de viento, el Eclipse Pro tuvo un plazo reducido: menos de 10 meses desde el concepto hasta el producto final. El proceso comenz\u00f3 con bocetos 2D tradicionales para definir la direcci\u00f3n, antes de pasar al modelado 3D y miles de simulaciones CFD para refinar el comportamiento del flujo de aire a trav\u00e9s de los bordes del casco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-el-eterno-dilema\"><strong>El eterno dilema<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Cada casco aerodin\u00e1mico es un equilibrio entre aerodin\u00e1mica y ventilaci\u00f3n. Un flujo de aire m\u00e1s limpio sobre el casco a menudo entra en conflicto con la necesidad de impulsar aire de refrigeraci\u00f3n a trav\u00e9s de \u00e9l. El Eclipse Pro cuenta con 15 ventilaciones y una arquitectura de canalizaci\u00f3n interna de nuevo dise\u00f1o. El objetivo de Giro era claro: aire limpio por encima, aire fresco por dentro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En la pr\u00e1ctica, el detalle m\u00e1s notable es la ventilaci\u00f3n frontal inferior, justo encima de la frente. Durante nuestras pruebas, pareci\u00f3 expulsar el aire con mayor eficiencia que muchos cascos de la competencia, especialmente durante esfuerzos intensos. En lugar de la t\u00edpica sensaci\u00f3n de calor atrapado, com\u00fan en los cascos aerodin\u00e1micos, el flujo de aire se percibi\u00f3 activo y direccional. La diferencia visual era evidente: zonas de transici\u00f3n de aire m\u00e1s r\u00e1pidas y limpias, y una canalizaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s estructurada a trav\u00e9s del casco. No se siente como una carcasa aerodin\u00e1mica sellada, sino como un casco de carretera r\u00e1pido que, adem\u00e1s, es muy aerodin\u00e1mico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-spherical-de-mips\"><strong>Spherical de Mips\u00ae<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>El Eclipse Pro integra, al igual que su predecesor, la Tecnolog\u00eda Spherical de Giro impulsada por Mips\u00ae, una construcci\u00f3n esf\u00e9rica que permite que el forro exterior gire alrededor del forro interior durante impactos angulares. Estructuralmente, es una forma inteligente de mantener la rigidez y mantener el flujo de aire lo m\u00e1s cercano al casco posible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El ajuste se controla mediante el sistema de retenci\u00f3n Roc Loc\u00ae 5.5 Air de Giro, que ofrece microajustes y una sujeci\u00f3n estable, ideal para competici\u00f3n, sin puntos de presi\u00f3n durante recorridos largos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-detalles-adicionales-de-uso\"><strong>Detalles adicionales de uso<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Probamos la compatibilidad con gafas de sol con resultados dispares. Las gafas 100% Speedcraft se integraron perfectamente en las ventilaciones frontales, mientras que algunos modelos Julbo no se ajustaron con la misma seguridad. El logotipo de Giro, m\u00e1s visible en blanco que en la unidad negra que hemos usado, est\u00e1 perfectamente ubicado en la parte superior. En general, se ve r\u00e1pido sin parecer un osado experimento aerodin\u00e1mico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-la-base-de-giro-en-barcelona\"><strong>La base de Giro en Barcelona<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Giro forma parte de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.revelyst.com\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.revelyst.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Revelyst<\/a>, un conglomerado de empresas bajo el cual se encuentra Adventure Sports Group, que incluye tambi\u00e9n a Bell y Camelbak.
