Esto es justamente lo que nos gustar\u00eda cambiar a trav\u00e9s de nuestra secci\u00f3n <a href=\"https:\/\/rawcyclingmag.com\/es\/revista\/#industry\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cacerc\u00e1ndonos a la industria\u201d<\/a>. Ya en el vuelo de regreso, aprovechamos el trayecto para relatar lo que ha sido nuestro \u00faltimo episodio de esta serie, esta vez, con <a href=\"https:\/\/cycling.hutchinson.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hutchinson Cycling<\/a> como protagonista.<\/p>\n<p>En un viaje de apenas 24 horas, nos desplazamos hasta Montargis, una peque\u00f1a poblaci\u00f3n al sur de Par\u00eds, donde se encuentra una de las instalaciones m\u00e1s importantes del grupo Hutchinson. La localidad, conocida por los canales de agua que recorren gran parte de su territorio, alberga un importante complejo donde el grupo fabrica parte de su cat\u00e1logo de productos, entre ellos la divisi\u00f3n de ciclismo, y donde tambi\u00e9n se encuentra el centro global de investigaci\u00f3n que abarca todas las ramificaciones de la compa\u00f1\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/rawcyclingmag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/DSF9913-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-25856\" src=\"https:\/\/rawcyclingmag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/DSF9913-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1333\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Historia de la marca<\/h3>\n<p>Fundada en 1853 por Hiram Hutchinson y con m\u00e1s de 40.000 trabajadores en todo el mundo, Hutchinson, especializada en la fabricaci\u00f3n de productos de goma, opera en diferentes \u00e1reas de negocio, como la industria automobil\u00edstica, la aeroespacial, el transporte ferroviario y el ciclismo, entre otras.<\/p>\n<p>A pesar de que la secci\u00f3n dedicada a productos destinados al mundo ciclista representa una \u00ednfima parte del grupo, creemos que la marca ha sido un referente en la historia del ciclismo. Y eso no es todo. Gracias a la innovaci\u00f3n, a su experiencia y a su gran conocimiento, sigue siendo, a d\u00eda de hoy, una de las marcas que lideran el desarrollo de productos en el sector.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/rawcyclingmag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/DSF9639.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-25822\" src=\"https:\/\/rawcyclingmag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/DSF9639.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1333\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Entre los hitos m\u00e1s destacados de la trayectoria de Hutchinson Cycling est\u00e1 la introducci\u00f3n del Kevlar en 1988, siendo pioneros en el uso de este material para la fabricaci\u00f3n de neum\u00e1ticos que incrementa la resistencia a los pinchazos. Otro gran avance que ha supuesto un cambio significativo para el ciclismo ha sido la presentaci\u00f3n del UST (Universal System Tubeless), que en 1999 inventaron en colaboraci\u00f3n con otros socios. Unos a\u00f1os m\u00e1s tarde, en 2006, Hutchinson ampli\u00f3 su cat\u00e1logo con el primer neum\u00e1tico de carretera tubeless y el primer neum\u00e1tico tubeless-ready para bicis de monta\u00f1a. As\u00ed es, lo que hoy consideramos un esencial en nuestro d\u00eda a d\u00eda como ciclistas es, en gran parte, culpa de esta compa\u00f1\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<style \/>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>A pesar de todo el recorrido que les precede, consideramos que, con la llegada del gravel, la marca ha dado un paso al frente en cuanto a presencia y visibilidad y ha sabido posicionarse respecto de sus competidores. En los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os han trabajado mucho para mejorar la comunicaci\u00f3n y transmitir los valores de la marca. El camino por recorrer todav\u00eda es largo y complejo, con una gran competencia, pero confiamos en que la calidad del producto que ofrecen pronto les d\u00e9 el reconocimiento que la marca se merece.<\/p>\n<h3>Sello \u201cmade in France\u201d<\/h3>\n<p>Nos fascina el hecho de poder conocer qu\u00e9 hay detr\u00e1s del proceso de fabricaci\u00f3n de productos que conocemos bien y que nosotros mismos usamos. Es como vivir en primera persona un episodio del famoso programa de televisi\u00f3n \u201cHow It\u2019s Made\u201d, pero con el extra de poder interactuar y hacer preguntas.<\/p>\n<p>En la f\u00e1brica de Montargis se producen alrededor de 3.000 neum\u00e1ticos al d\u00eda, lo que equivale a 1.000.000 de unidades anuales. A pesar de que las cifras puedan impresionar a primera vista, dentro del sector corresponden a una planta de producci\u00f3n mediana. Son responsables de todo lo relacionado con el producto de alta gama de Hutchinson, as\u00ed como de la investigaci\u00f3n y el desarrollo de prototipos y nuevos productos. El feedback de corredores de m\u00e1ximo nivel competitivo permite seguir mejorando sus productos y alcanzar el m\u00e1ximo rendimiento.<\/p>\n<h3>Industria y sostenibilidad<\/h3>\n<p>La competencia es feroz y, pese al buen hacer de Hutchinson y al respaldo que pueda contar con el resto del grupo, en muchas ocasiones no pueden contar con el mismo presupuesto que otras marcas, ni llegar a tener la visibilidad que ellas tienen. En el caso de las c\u00e1maras de aire, ya est\u00e1n colaborando con compa\u00f1\u00edas externas para buscarles una salida. En cuanto a los neum\u00e1ticos, al tratarse de un proceso de fabricaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s complejo, que emplea diferentes compuestos y materiales, resulta mucho m\u00e1s dif\u00edcil abordar este problema.
