Es una declaraci\u00f3n de que a\u00fan se pueden concebir, dise\u00f1ar, pintar y fabricar bicicletas de primera clase \u00edntegramente en Italia, con la pasi\u00f3n y la precisi\u00f3n que definen el legado ciclista del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p>Pasamos un par de d\u00edas en Bassano del Grappa para la presentaci\u00f3n a la prensa de l<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rawcyclingmag.com\/basso-sv\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a nueva Basso SV<\/a>, y el programa tambi\u00e9n incluy\u00f3 una visita a varias instalaciones de la marca. El camino del acero al aluminio y luego al carbono fue entretenido, en parte porque abri\u00f3 su propio camino en lugar de intentar seguir el status quo de la industria, desarrollando tecnolog\u00edas que se adelantaban al resto.<\/p>\n<p>Su etapa moderna se debe en gran medida a la visi\u00f3n de futuro de su esposa. Ella sol\u00eda distribuir marcas como Alpine Stars, Cannondale y GT en Italia, y r\u00e1pidamente aprendi\u00f3 que los frecuentes cambios en la direcci\u00f3n y estrategia comercial de esas empresas le dificultaba su tarea. \u00bfLa respuesta? Adquirir una marca, en este caso, Lee Cougan. Y luego, tras conocer a Alcide, se produjo la fusi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Las dos empresas operan ahora bajo el holding Stardue, una empresa familiar que abarca una sede europea adicional en N\u00faremberg (Alemania es su mayor mercado) y una base norteamericana en Florida. Hoy, alrededor de 80 empleados, liderados por un joven equipo de seis gerentes, ninguno mayor de 45 a\u00f1os, gu\u00edan la compa\u00f1\u00eda a lo largo de los altibajos de la industria. La familia Basso sigue al frente, con Leonardo como Director de Marketing y Alessandro como CEO. Si bien la distribuci\u00f3n final difiere de c\u00f3mo estaba estructurado todo cuando estuvimos all\u00ed, el almac\u00e9n y la secci\u00f3n de ensamblaje ya estaban instalados. A su lado, se ubicar\u00e1 la nueva zona de producci\u00f3n de fibra de carbono con un espacio de 2,000 m\u00b2. Cuando estuvimos all\u00ed, la secci\u00f3n para almacenar bicicletas completamente ensambladas y embaladas estaba bastante vac\u00eda, lo que suele ser una buena se\u00f1al y prueba de su enfoque de producci\u00f3n justo a tiempo. Basso se vende actualmente en 62 pa\u00edses y, en octubre de 2024, estimaron que vender\u00edan alrededor de 12,000 bicicletas al acabar el a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p>Basso est\u00e1 invirtiendo fuertemente en la zona, no solo en metros cuadrados, sino tambi\u00e9n en la comunidad, la cultura y la sostenibilidad.<\/p>\n<p>Hay espacio para hasta 400 empleados y ya se est\u00e1n ofreciendo oficinas adicionales a startups. El restaurante y el alojamiento estar\u00e1n abiertos a todos. Cada bicicleta, ya sea una Basso o una Lee Cougan, se ensambla en puestos independientes por mec\u00e1nicos cualificados. Estas marcas cercanas, no solo Basso, se benefician del ambiente colaborativo que fomenta este nuevo espacio.<\/p>\n<p>Las rutas semanales de carretera y gravel atraen tanto a ciclistas nuevos como a experimentados.
