Ese pa\u00eds en el que tenemos tantos conocidos y del que tan bien nos hab\u00edan hablado. En otras ocasiones, nuestro esp\u00edritu aventurero nos hubiera llevado a organizar toda la estancia por nuestra cuenta. Sin embargo, debido a nuestro limitado conocimiento de la regi\u00f3n y sus carreteras, delegar la planificaci\u00f3n a <a href=\"https:\/\/colombici.cc\/journal\/whyweride\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Colombici<\/a> fue clave para vivir la mejor experiencia posible.<\/p>\n<h3>Colombici, un proyecto org\u00e1nico<\/h3>\n<p>Lo que para Maya y Pan empez\u00f3 como viajes por su cuenta para descubrir Colombia &#8211; pa\u00eds en el que actualmente residen -, pas\u00f3 a ser su principal ocupaci\u00f3n. Mientras que ya exist\u00edan operadores tur\u00edsticos ofreciendo <em>training camps<\/em> que se basan en el principio \u201cm\u00e1s horas en bici es mejor\u201d, Colombici se centr\u00f3 desde el inicio en encontrar el balance perfecto entre el reto f\u00edsico y la posterior recompensa. A todos nos llama la atenci\u00f3n lo ex\u00f3tico, y Colombia es un pa\u00eds \u00fanico en muchos sentidos. Hay paisajes, carreteras y estilos arquitect\u00f3nicos que no se pueden encontrar en ning\u00fan otro lugar del mundo, y Colombici ha creado un portfolio de itinerarios que transitan por todos ellos.<\/p>\n<p>De todas las opciones que nos pusieron sobre la mesa, nos decantamos por su tour <em><a href=\"https:\/\/colombici.cc\/cafetera\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Into Coffee Heartlands<\/a><\/em>, que nos llevar\u00eda desde la capital del pa\u00eds, Bogot\u00e1, hasta el departamento de Quind\u00edo, donde se encuentras pueblos tan pintorescos como Filandia y Salento. Las rutas parec\u00edan atractivas, y las actividades que nos propusieron eran de nuestro agrado. Solo quedaba ir descontando los d\u00edas hasta viajar al sur de Am\u00e9rica y encontrarnos con ellos.<\/p>\n<h3>A bordo de bicis Scarab<\/h3>\n<p>Aterrizamos en Bogot\u00e1, pero all\u00ed pasar\u00edamos pocas horas ya que nuestra ruta comenzaba en las afueras, relativamente alejados del tr\u00e1fico de la capital. La bici de Javi era <a href=\"https:\/\/scarabcycles.com\/products\/santa-rosa-integrated?\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">el modelo de carretera Santa Rosa<\/a> en su versi\u00f3n con cableado integrado y mayor pase de rueda. Tambi\u00e9n contaba con el nuevo <a href=\"https:\/\/scarabcycles.com\/pages\/cds?\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Colibr\u00ed Damping System<\/a> de la marca, el cual reemplaza la tradicional tija de acero por un tubo vertical de carbono. El tr\u00e1fico era moderadamente denso, y nos sorprendi\u00f3 gratamente que los veh\u00edculos dejaran, en la mayor\u00eda de los casos, la separaci\u00f3n deseada al adelantarnos. Fueron largas bajadas de pedalear, sin pendientes pronunciadas, en las que disfrutamos de las vistas a las monta\u00f1as. Nos llam\u00f3 la atenci\u00f3n que, a diferencia de Europa, la vegetaci\u00f3n estaba presente hasta en los picos m\u00e1s altos, alterando su silueta.<\/p>\n<p>Paramos en Vian\u00ed. La cata de productos t\u00edpicos colombianos comenz\u00f3. Las primeras dos horas fueron totalmente llanas, siendo Mariquita y Armero los municipios m\u00e1s relevantes de esa primera parte del d\u00eda. Mariquita es el lugar desde donde la mayor\u00eda de ciclistas inicia su ascenso al Alto de Letras, que se corona a 3.680 metros de altitud. Esa era hasta ahora la subida m\u00e1s m\u00edtica del pa\u00eds, pero el gobierno paviment\u00f3 hace un a\u00f1o y medio un camino que ha posibilitado el ascenso con bici de carretera hasta el Alto del Sif\u00f3n a trav\u00e9s de Armero.<\/p>\n<p>El viento soplaba a nuestro favor mientras nos dirig\u00edamos en direcci\u00f3n sur, y cubrimos todo el tramo hasta Armero r\u00e1pidamente, con solo una parada en Guayabal Armero para hacernos una foto comiendo un bocadillo de guayaba. Unas achiras y almoj\u00e1banas fueron nuestra gasolina para los 30 km de subida que ten\u00edamos por delante.<\/p>\n<p>No fue f\u00e1cil, pero todo el desnivel que acumulamos ese d\u00eda nos lo ahorramos para el d\u00eda siguiente. Algunos ciclistas suben hasta el Alto del Sif\u00f3n desde Armero, lo que implica 115 km de ascenso continuo. Llegamos a Murillo, un peque\u00f1o pueblo a 2.900 metros de altitud con mucho encanto. Desde la entrada se apreciaban a lo lejos las faldas del Nevado del Ruiz, algo que alz\u00f3 nuestros \u00e1nimos. La falta de ox\u00edgeno ya era aparente, y lleg\u00f3 un momento que apenas pod\u00edamos pedalear. Hab\u00eda fuerzas, pero las piernas no respond\u00edan.<\/p>\n<p>No hab\u00eda prisas; una vez mojados ya es indiferente que siga lloviendo o no, y est\u00e1bamos en camino de coronar antes del mediod\u00eda. Es lo que se conoce como el p\u00e1ramo. En ese momento avistamos los primeros frailejones, una planta nativa con un grueso tronco y una roseta en la parte superior. M\u00e1s tarde tuvimos tiempo de echar un vistazo al resto de sus instalaciones y la deslumbrante arquitectura del complejo. Un verdadero para\u00edso para el amante de la bicicleta.<\/p>\n<h3>D\u00eda 5<\/h3>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.komoot.com\/tour\/1952694046\/embed?profile=1\" width=\"100%\" height=\"700\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><br \/>\nDesgraciadamente era el \u00faltimo d\u00eda de ruta. La \u00fanica buena noticia era que no ten\u00edamos que hacer las maletas ya que volv\u00edamos a pasar noche en Casa du Vel\u00f3. Inevitablemente tambi\u00e9n hab\u00eda mucho turista por la zona, y es que tanto Salento como Cocora son sitios que merece la pena visitar.<\/p>\n<p>Tras un breve descenso por carretera principal, nos enfrentamos a 4 km realmente duros para llegar a Salento. Nos reagrupamos ah\u00ed arriba, y tras una breve parada deshicimos nuestros pasos para descender de vuelta a Salento. Es en este \u00faltimo pueblo iniciamos la \u00faltima ascensi\u00f3n de nuestro tour con Colombici, justo cuando nuestras piernas nos empezaban a pedir clemencia tras la carga acumulada los anteriores d\u00edas.<\/p>\n<p>Fue una subida entretenida, con pendientes cambiantes y vistas a las plantaciones de pl\u00e1tanos. Sin embargo, siendo honestos, lo que m\u00e1s dese\u00e1bamos era llegar a Casa du Vel\u00f3.
