Significa mantenerse fiel a sus ra\u00edces y, al mismo tiempo, adaptarse para competir con las marcas que luchan por el mismo pedazo de pastel. Requiere, entre muchas cosas, innovaci\u00f3n continua en un pa\u00eds caracterizado por su visi\u00f3n tradicional de la bicicleta.<\/p>\n<p>En <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ridley-bikes.com\/en_BE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ridley Bikes<\/a> pueden decir con orgullo que han liderado la industria belga de cuadros de bicicletas durante m\u00e1s de veinte a\u00f1os, y sus modelos lanzados recientemente, junto con lo que est\u00e1 por venir, asegurar\u00e1n que B\u00e9lgica se mantenga en la c\u00faspide de la industria del ciclismo mundial.<\/p>\n<p>Tuvimos la oportunidad de visitar su sede y pudimos comprobar por qu\u00e9 conf\u00edan en lograr su objectivo. Sol\u00eda pintar sus propios cuadros y los de los profesionales con los que estaba en contacto, incluido su hermano. Luego hizo lo mismo con Bioracer, que en ese momento tambi\u00e9n estaba presente en el negocio de cuadros de bicicletas.<\/p>\n<p>Aprendi\u00f3 sobre dise\u00f1o, geometr\u00edas y soldadura de cuadros, y dio un paso adelante y comenz\u00f3 a encargarse de todo el proceso de producci\u00f3n de una bicicleta. Ridley naci\u00f3 en 1997, y en ese momento todav\u00eda operaba en el garaje de su padre. En 2005, las bicicletas Ridley ya estaban presentes en el nivel m\u00e1s alto del ciclismo de carretera, con tres victorias de etapa en el Tour de Francia en el primer a\u00f1o patrocinando a pel\u00edculas como Alien o Blade Runner, Ridley Scott. En ese momento ya exist\u00eda una marca de bicicletas que usaba el apellido del \u00eddolo de la familia, por lo que optaron por Ridley como nombre de la firma.<\/p>\n<h3>Hacia un ecosistema ciclista local<\/h3>\n<p>Hoy en d\u00eda, Ridley es el mayor productor de bicicletas de B\u00e9lgica. Forma parte de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingfactory.be\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Belgium Cycling Factory<\/a> (BCF), un conglomerado que tambi\u00e9n incluye la marca de bicicletas <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/eddymerckxbikes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Eddy Merckx<\/a> y otras empresas relacionadas con el ciclismo como Corsa, Forza y BCF Cycling Wear.<\/p>\n<p>En 2013 el Bike Valley, un edificio primeramente concebido como un centro de innovaci\u00f3n que incluye un t\u00fanel de viento y una c\u00e1mara t\u00e9rmica, se construy\u00f3 junto a la actual f\u00e1brica de Ridley. Aprendiendo de lo que sucedi\u00f3 durante la escasez de componentes, los cuadros de aluminio de los modelos existentes pronto se obtendr\u00e1n de los Pa\u00edses Bajos, y todas las versiones diferentes de los dos nuevos modelos de Ridley que se presentar\u00e1n el pr\u00f3ximo a\u00f1o se producir\u00e1n en Portugal.<\/p>\n<h3>Un proceso de producci\u00f3n a la altura del potencial de la marca<\/h3>\n<p>Tras pasar por el almac\u00e9n, donde vimos bicis completas listas para ser enviadas a pa\u00edses tan dispares como Suecia, Polonia o Nueva Zelanda, nos explicaron todo el proceso de pintado. Antes un operario montaba una unidad completa, pero ahora existe una l\u00ednea de montaje m\u00f3vil en la que los operarios se especializan en una \u00fanica tarea que ejecutan una y otra vez. Aun as\u00ed, para alguien centrado en la parte del desviador, no es lo mismo construir una cambio electr\u00f3nico que un grupo manual.<\/p>\n<p>Recientemente, BCF realiz\u00f3 una gran inversi\u00f3n en la digitalizaci\u00f3n de los procesos comerciales.
