Lejos del mundo urbano, la zona agr\u00edcola de Lleida ofrece un entorno \u00fanico para la pr\u00e1ctica del gravel. Mirando el perfil, \u00fanicamente una subida inicial destacaba por encima de un terreno mayoritariamente llano, pero a la hora de la verdad los participantes tuvieron que hacer frente a un constante sube y baja que, sumado al ritmo impuesto en cabeza de carrera, result\u00f3 en un reto may\u00fasculo.<\/p>\n<h3>El reto en primera persona<\/h3>\n<p>Nosotros fuimos uno de los 550 participantes presentes en la l\u00ednea de salida el domingo 18 de septiembre y, al no ser totalmente conocedores de la zona, tambi\u00e9n nos vimos sorprendidos por la exigencia f\u00edsica del recorrido. A pesar del terreno favorable, que incitaba a ir muy r\u00e1pido, no pod\u00edas bajar la guardia en ning\u00fan momento. La gravilla y la aridez del terreno, y algunas zonas m\u00e1s t\u00e9cnicas donde se acumulaban m\u00e1s piedras, te pod\u00edan jugar una mala pasada en cualquier momento.<\/p>\n<p>Pudimos comprobar en primera persona el ritmo fren\u00e9tico que hubo durante toda la carrera, y la ausencia de largas ascensiones provocaba que la carga muscular se concentrara en una zona concreta de las piernas. Adem\u00e1s, la ausencia de monta\u00f1as pod\u00eda convertir el terreno en ocasiones muy mon\u00f3tono, especialmente si acababas rodando solo. La exigencia del gravel poco tiene que envidiar al ciclismo de carretera de m\u00e1ximo nivel, tal y como reflejan los 345 wattios normalizados que Carlos necesit\u00f3 para ganar. Recientemente dej\u00f3 saber a sus seguidores que este a\u00f1o ten\u00eda la intenci\u00f3n de acabar la temporada de manera diferente con tal de amenizar su tiempo sobre la bici.
