A diferencia del a\u00f1o pasado en la que el recorrido transcurri\u00f3 mayormente por la vertiente espa\u00f1ola, esta vez la carrera volv\u00eda a los or\u00edgenes, recuperando su ruta a trav\u00e9s del Pirineo Franc\u00e9s. Los ciclistas tuvieron que subir 33 puertos, cubriendo un total de 1.080 km con +25.000 m de desnivel positivo.
