Con esto, pretend\u00eda brindar un nuevo producto basado en beneficios tecnol\u00f3gicos que llevar\u00eda a mejorar la funcionalidad, desde el peso hasta la sensaci\u00f3n de maniobrabilidad, de las ruedas de bicicleta.<\/p>\n<p>As\u00ed fue como se puso en pr\u00e1ctica un nuevo concepto de radios hechos de fibras VECTRAN&#x2122; y se cre\u00f3 <a href=\"https:\/\/pirope.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PI ROPE<\/a> en 2017. No mucho despu\u00e9s, gracias a la cooperaci\u00f3n con <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newmen-components.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Newmen Components<\/a> y un proceso dedicado de investigaci\u00f3n constante, finalmente lanzaron comercialmente sus primeros productos en 2018. Hoy en d\u00eda, la marca ofrece una selecci\u00f3n de diferentes radios, bujes y juegos de ruedas para diferentes disciplinas ciclistas, incluidas carretera, gravel y MTB. Estos consisten en fibras de alto m\u00f3dulo y tenacidad (HMHT) hechas de VECTRAN&#x2122;, una fibra de poli\u00e9ster de alta resistencia que se utiliza como tejido de refuerzo en neum\u00e1ticos, navegaci\u00f3n o medicina y con aplicaciones en viajes espaciales. Por s\u00ed solas, estas fibras tienen una resistencia similar a la del acero. Esto da como resultado una rueda con la que se puede acelerar f\u00e1cilmente y es ideal para escalar sin sacrificar la funcionalidad del aro de inercia una vez la rueda est\u00e1 en movimiento.<\/p>\n<p>El siguiente punto destacable es el aspecto de los radios, ya que son completamente flexibles como cuerdas cuando no est\u00e1n bajo tensi\u00f3n. Estos son trenzas de fibras polim\u00e9ricas de alta flexibilidad en la direcci\u00f3n transversal pero un alto m\u00f3dulo de tracci\u00f3n longitudinal. Esto da como resultado un radio que sin duda puede someterse a presi\u00f3n con un alargamiento reducido y una gran resistencia. En primer lugar, las fibras no absorben agua y, por lo tanto, la suciedad no se adhiere f\u00e1cilmente. Aunque estos pol\u00edmeros pueden da\u00f1arse f\u00e1cilmente con la luz ultravioleta del sol, los radios est\u00e1n cubiertos con una capa protectora. Tanto los radios de color oscuro como los claros, donde se ven las fibras f\u00e1cilmente, tienen una protecci\u00f3n del 100%. Tampoco hay que temer por las fluctuaciones de temperatura, las cuales no influyen en las propiedades de los radios de VECTRAN&#x2122; en condiciones normales. Incluso si se piensa en ellos como cuerdas, estos son resistentes a cortes y el revestimiento externo evita el desgaste y las roturas. Adem\u00e1s, pueden ser f\u00e1cilmente sustituidas por cualquier constructor de ruedas con experiencia.<\/p>\n<p>El \u00fanico inconveniente de los radios PI ROPE es algo en lo que realmente la marca ha pensado. Los radios tienen cabecillas relativamente m\u00e1s grandes de lo normal en ambos lados, que se utilizan para fijar tanto a la llanta como al buje. Al no querer comprometer las propiedades y ofrecer un producto excelente, los radios solo pueden combinarse con llantas y bujes espec\u00edficos con agujeros m\u00e1s grandes que no se ajustan a los est\u00e1ndares comerciales. Al sacarlas de la caja ya notamos lo ligeras que eran, pesando 1.120 g el par, cosa que consiguen gracias a los radios de VECTRAN&#x2122; y los aros de carbono, los cuales tienen un buen compromiso entre perfil y ligereza.
