Sin embargo, como menciona Benn Penner (Director de Desarrollo de Producto de Giro), desde Giro no quer\u00edan comprometer la protecci\u00f3n, el flujo de calor o la comodidad, ya que juegan un papel muy importante que va m\u00e1s all\u00e1 del rendimiento puro. Es por eso que pasaron numerosas horas en el t\u00fanel de viento dise\u00f1ando una forma aerodin\u00e1mica que tambi\u00e9n permitiera un excelente flujo de aire para mantener el casco refrigerado. El casco es pr\u00e1cticamente esf\u00e9rico con 14 ventilaciones, cuyas dimensiones y ubicaci\u00f3n han sido minuciosamente dise\u00f1adas. Estas aperturas de ventilaci\u00f3n extraen aire a trav\u00e9s del casco para disminuir la resistencia aerodin\u00e1mica y proporcionan una potencia de refrigeraci\u00f3n incre\u00edble que rivaliza con otros cascos de carretera con ventilaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s agresiva. Combinado con la elegante carcasa exterior que agiliza activamente el flujo de aire para reducir la resistencia del viento viniendo de m\u00faltiples \u00e1ngulos, el Eclipse es el casco de carretera m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido que ha fabricado Giro, sin tener en cuenta los de contrarreloj.
