Despu\u00e9s de la edici\u00f3n Trail en noviembre del a\u00f1o pasado, hace apenas unos d\u00edas tuvo lugar la versi\u00f3n Road, que tambi\u00e9n recorri\u00f3 el archipi\u00e9lago canario de un extremo al otro. Los organizadores de la ruta han optimizado todos estos tiempos para que no pierdas ni un minuto, y ese horario es el que tienen que seguir los corredores para triunfar. Las pausas son casi cronometradas y las velocidades medias se tienen que respetar. Si lo haces todo a la perfecci\u00f3n, recorrer 600 km con 14.000 m de desnivel te tendr\u00eda que llevar 32h 35min sobre la bici, con una media de 19.3 km\/h, y a eso sumarle 5h 25min en los transbordos entre islas en ferry.<\/p>\n<p>Como muchos ya anticiparon, el primero en llegar a meta fue <a href=\"https:\/\/rawcyclingmag.com\/ulrich-bartholmoes-unbeaten-and-eager-for-more\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ulrich Bartholmoes<\/a>, que complet\u00f3 el trayecto en 38 h 33 min, m\u00e1s o menos el tiempo estimado por la organizaci\u00f3n. De este modo, el alem\u00e1n se ci\u00f1\u00f3 al plan perfectamente, sin tiempo que perder en ning\u00fan lugar. Sin embargo, ganar no fue f\u00e1cil, ya que detr\u00e1s suyo llegaron <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/patxiplazaola\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Patxi Plazaola<\/a> y <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/justin.and.bikes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Justinas Leveika<\/a> con apenas 7 y 22 minutos de retraso, respectivamente. La primera en llegar fue <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/annika_vossen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Annika Vossen<\/a>, y a apenas 18 minutos llegaba <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/moremiles_moresmiles_\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ana Orenz<\/a> pis\u00e1ndole los talones. La tercera fue <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/sara_hallpower\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sara Hallbauer<\/a>. El corredor italiano, complet\u00f3 el recorrido y solo en subidas muy exigentes como el ascenso al pico de las Nieves o al Teide, cambi\u00f3 la relaci\u00f3n (plato\/pi\u00f1\u00f3n) por un algo m\u00e1s c\u00f3moda (47&#215;22) y cuando tocaba bajar, giraba la rueda y volv\u00eda al pi\u00f1\u00f3n 17 que le permit\u00eda ir m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido. De esta forma, cada participante vive la carrera de un modo distinto ya que no es lo mismo intentar ganar la carrera que intentar acabarla, aunque seguramente el esfuerzo relativo ser\u00e1 mayor para los segundos. Viniendo del invierno en Europa continental, pasar a 20 grados es un cambio al que cuesta un poco acostumbrarse. Sin embargo, esa es la temperatura media, pudiendo pasar de los 28 grados al mediod\u00eda a temperaturas glaciales cuando est\u00e1s en alta monta\u00f1a por la noche, lo que a\u00f1ade un extra de dificultad a gestionar.<\/p>\n<p>Las islas y sus paisajes son espectaculares y aunque te enfrentes a subidas tan largas y duras con rampas de m\u00e1s del 20% como el Pico de las Nieves en Gran Canaria, mientras te envuelves de toda esa naturaleza todo el sufrimiento desaparece. No obstante, eso tambi\u00e9n puede ser una trampa ya que te puede forzar a seguir un ritmo m\u00e1s elevado al que est\u00e1s acostumbrado, con lo que hay que saber dosificarse.<\/p>\n<p>Resumiendo su experiencia, Corrochano ha quedado encantado con la organizaci\u00f3n, el ambiente, los paisajes, la gente que conoci\u00f3, la calidez de la gente en los pueblos y todos los momentos que pudo compartir y vivir. Asimismo cuenta que la ruta es espectacular ya que evita grandes n\u00facleos de poblaci\u00f3n y horas puntas de tr\u00e1fico, lo que te permite desconectar de lo cotidiano para vivir el momento.
