Otra gran peculiaridad que les diferencia del resto, es que desde un principio decidieron apostar por fabricar \u00edntegramente todos sus productos en Estados Unidos, m\u00e1s concretamente en el estado de Utah. Este factor ha sido clave en el desarrollo de la marca y les ha permitido tener un control preciso de cada parte del proceso productivo, desde el desarrollo de producto, pruebas de calidad, dejaba a sus competidores fuera de combate con la presentaci\u00f3n de su propia bicicleta, la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.enve.com\/introducing-the-enve-custom-road-bike\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ENVE Custom Road Bike<\/a>. Un hito que ten\u00edan fijado en su diario de ruta desde la creaci\u00f3n de la marca, en 2007, pero que no han querido abordar hasta alcanzar los conocimientos y la experiencia necesaria en el desarrollo y fabricaci\u00f3n de ruedas y componentes de la m\u00e1xima calidad y rendimiento.<\/p>\n<p>Tuvimos la ocasi\u00f3n de hablar con <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/jakepantone\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jake Pantone<\/a>, vicepresidente de producto y responsable de experiencia del consumidor de ENVE, quien nos cont\u00f3 de primera mano los detalles que hay \/>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<h3>Desarrollando la idea<\/h3>\n<p>En las grandes marcas, dise\u00f1an un modelo de bicicleta y definen un cat\u00e1logo de tallas en base a una misma geometr\u00eda, pero en ENVE fabrican el 100% de sus productos y el acceso a herramientas de dise\u00f1o y desarrollo les permiti\u00f3 visualizar la posibilidad de crear algo totalmente personalizado. Al principio, dudaron de la viabilidad, pero su apuesta por lanzar algo diferente les hizo tirar hacia adelante. As\u00ed, a finales de 2018, finalmente firmaron un proyecto para construir un cuadro de bicicleta de carbono custom.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Trabajamos con constructores de cuadros que ofrecen una experiencia cercana y personalizada pero, lamentablemente, muchas de esas bicicletas carecen de beneficios tecnol\u00f3gicos como aerodin\u00e1mica, integraci\u00f3n e innovaciones tecnol\u00f3gicas en carbono. Es por ello que desde ENVE quer\u00edamos ofrecer una opci\u00f3n de personalizaci\u00f3n completa en carbono.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>La mayor\u00eda de los clientes y productos de ENVE giran sab\u00edan qu\u00e9 caracter\u00edsticas y qu\u00e9 aspectos aerodin\u00e1micos eran importantes. Su objetivo no era hacer la bicicleta m\u00e1s aerodin\u00e1mica, sino la m\u00e1s vers\u00e1til, proporcionando la mejor bicicleta exclusiva con un excelente rendimiento en todo tipo de situaciones.<\/p>\n<h3>El proceso detr\u00e1s de la bicicleta personalizada<\/h3>\n<p>A principios de 2019 comenz\u00f3 el proceso de dar forma a la bicicleta. Los primeros esfuerzos se centraron en dise\u00f1ar el cuadro y aprender a unir los tubos para obtener el primer prototipo, que Jake Pantone recibi\u00f3 a finales de ese mismo a\u00f1o. No obstante, su experiencia previa con el material, result\u00f3 muy beneficiosa para conseguir lo que buscaban en un plazo corto de tiempo.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Empez\u00e1bamos sin saber apenas nada de cuadros, pero no completamente desde cero. Al final, necesitamos dos a\u00f1os para llevar la bicicleta desde el concepto hasta conseguir salir al mercado.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Es interesante darse cuenta que la bicicleta fue dise\u00f1ada solo para cambios electr\u00f3nicos y sistema de freno con cableado totalmente ocultos en la estructura del cuadro. Sin embargo, en ENVE, ten\u00edan todas las herramientas y conocimiento para poder ofrecer una personalizaci\u00f3n completa, desde la pintura y componentes, hasta la geometr\u00eda a medida de cada cliente.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;El principal desaf\u00edo es decidir la talla perfecta para el cliente sin que \u00e9l venga a la f\u00e1brica. De este modo, en funci\u00f3n de tus preferencias, un estudio biomec\u00e1nico y tus medidas, se pueden adaptar esos n\u00fameros a tu tama\u00f1o ideal de cuadro, altura del sill\u00edn, y tama\u00f1o y posici\u00f3n del manillar para que la bicicleta se fabrique por y para ti.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;El caso es que no hay muchas bicicletas para probar, por lo que los clientes las compran y luego las prueban, pero la respuesta ha sido muy positiva. Los comentarios seguir\u00e1n creciendo a medida que construyamos m\u00e1s bicicletas y, con esto, tambi\u00e9n haremos algunas mejoras.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Ofrecen dos estilos de geometr\u00eda diferentes que se mantienen dentro de un rango determinado: una es m\u00e1s corta en t\u00e9rminos de distancia entre ejes para un \u00e1mbito de alto rendimiento, y la otra, es una versi\u00f3n m\u00e1s c\u00f3moda y m\u00e1s larga dise\u00f1ada para all-road (que no quiere decir que sea una gravel). a\u00fan no tienen una alta capacidad de producci\u00f3n. Conf\u00edan en su gran medida en la fabricaci\u00f3n de ruedas y componentes, por lo que est\u00e1n viendo c\u00f3mo reacciona el mercado a su bicicleta, y si la construcci\u00f3n del cuadro no tiene \u00e9xito, siempre pueden volver a los or\u00edgenes. Esta es sin duda uno de los motivos por los que, inicialmente, el lanzamiento de la bici solo est\u00e1 disponible en Norteam\u00e9rica. Si todo va sobre lo previsto, en cuesti\u00f3n de meses estar\u00e1n en situaci\u00f3n de producir para el resto del mundo.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Queremos asegurarnos de que estamos operativos y en excelente estado antes de comenzar a enviar bicicletas lejos. Esperamos que dentro de unos a\u00f1os la gente reconozca a ENVE como fabricante de cuadros del mismo modo que fabricante de ruedas y componentes. Queremos que m\u00e1s personas experimenten con nuestras bicicletas y la tecnolog\u00eda que podemos llevar al mercado.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Incluso si algunos equipos ciclistas profesionales del Tour usan sus ruedas y componentes, la limitada capacidad de producci\u00f3n es una limitaci\u00f3n para llevar los cuadros ENVE al pelot\u00f3n ciclista. Desde ENVE, tuvieron la idea de integrar los cables a trav\u00e9s de la direcci\u00f3n de una forma distinta a la tradicional, y gracias a la ayuda de Chris King, lograron desarrollarla. Lo interesante de este nuevo sistema es que permite utilizar un tubo de direcci\u00f3n tradicional y un rodamiento m\u00e1s grande en la parte superior. Adem\u00e1s, el cableado es limpio y no requiere desconectar nada, por lo que es lo m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil de usar.
