The Hook&#8217;s glory"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Era nuestra primera vez en el <a href=\"http:\/\/redhookcrit.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Red Hook Crit<\/a> de Brooklyn. El circuito era r\u00e1pido, con ligera forma de L, una zona t\u00e9cnica con un <em>hairpin<\/em> y una zona de ligera subida donde el viento en contra produc\u00eda un desgaste importante. Ten\u00eda un par de chicanes r\u00e1pidas y una curva de llegada a meta espectacular. En global era un buen circuito pero, si te quedabas descolgado del pelot\u00f3n, estaba claro que morir\u00edas en el intento.<\/p>\n<p>La ronda de clasificaciones se inici\u00f3 sobre las 12:30, empezando con los grupos de chicas, un total de 52 f\u00e9minas dispuestas a darlo todo para intentar marcar su mejor tiempo. Tras el paso de los dos grupos, el mejor tiempo fue para <strong>Kacey Lloyd<\/strong> del equipo <strong>Long Tail Creative<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>En el caso de la <em>qualify<\/em> de chicos, destacar la aparatosa ca\u00edda de <a href=\"http:\/\/rawcyclingmag.com\/faz-adhili-the-asian-speed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Faz Adhili<\/a>, un toque con otro corredor hizo que acabara con la cara en el asfalto, el <em>rider<\/em> del <a href=\"http:\/\/rawcyclingmag.com\/team-cinelli-chrome\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Team Cinelli Chrome<\/a> se llev\u00f3 un horrible golpe que le impidi\u00f3 correr la final. <a href=\"http:\/\/rawcyclingmag.com\/stefan-vis-from-f-a-s-t-amsterdam-team\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Stefan Vis<\/a>, tambi\u00e9n del mismo equipo, logr\u00f3 marcar el mejor tiempo del circuito pero tampoco tuvo suerte y sufri\u00f3 una ca\u00edda que, al igual que en el caso de Faz, lo dejaba fuera de la carrera.<\/p>\n<p><strong>LAST CHANCE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Caracterizada por ser la repesca para aquellos corredores que no han alcanzado colarse en la final, se compone de 75 <em>riders<\/em> (del 76 al 150 de la clasificaci\u00f3n general) con pretensiones de quedar entre el <strong>TOP 10<\/strong> que les permita esa segunda oportunidad para acceder a la gran final.<\/p>\n<p>No es una carrera f\u00e1cil, en ella se encuentra todo tipo de corredores, la mayor\u00eda en buena forma f\u00edsica, unos con una conducci\u00f3n m\u00e1s agresiva, otros m\u00e1s finos en las frenadas y las curvas, aut\u00e9nticos velocistas, otros con un buen fondo, pero todos, todos, con unas ganas inhumanas de hacerlo bien y lograr acabar.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WOMEN\u2019S CRIT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Llegaba el momento tan esperado, comenzaban las finales.<\/p>\n<p>El p\u00fablico estaba listo para que las preferidas (Kacey Lloyd, <a href=\"http:\/\/rawcyclingmag.com\/rookies-del-ano-ainara-elbusto\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ainara Elbusto<\/a>, Ash Duban, <a href=\"http:\/\/rawcyclingmag.com\/jo-celso-ganadora-del-rhc-brooklyn-no-7\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jo Celso<\/a> y la francesa <a href=\"http:\/\/rawcyclingmag.com\/rookies-del-ano-fleure-faure\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fleur Faure<\/a>) nos brindaran una brillante carrera y un espect\u00e1culo como pocos.<\/p>\n<p>Ainara del equipo Connor WRC y ganadora del RHC Series 2014, ven\u00eda dispuesta a ganar y, desde el primer momento, lo demostr\u00f3. Sali\u00f3 como un tiro nada m\u00e1s empezar, llev\u00e1ndose el <em>breakfast<\/em> despu\u00e9s de realizar una vuelta de infarto. La cabeza de carrera se destac\u00f3 muy r\u00e1pidamente por un grupo con las m\u00e1s fuertes en el que, vuelta a vuelta, se iban turnando las posiciones.<\/p>\n<p>Hubo intentos de escapada por parte de algunas corredoras con el fin de intentar alejarse y romper el grupo pero el pelot\u00f3n de cabeza consigui\u00f3 neutralizarlos y mantenerse unido.<\/p>\n<p>Las <em>riders<\/em> m\u00e1s en forma jugaban muy bien sus cartas. Ainara no perdi\u00f3 el control de la carrera en ning\u00fan momento, Fleur hizo una fant\u00e1stica carrera como nos tiene acostumbrados, y <a href=\"http:\/\/rawcyclingmag.com\/fast-brothers-augusto-y-vittoria-reati\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vittoria Reati<\/a> estuvo siempre en una buena posici\u00f3n estudiando a sus rivales y esperando el momento perfecto para atacar.<\/p>\n<p>Finalmente, las expectativas se cumpl\u00edan y el triunfo fue para <strong>Ainara Elbusto<\/strong> del <strong>Connor WRC<\/strong>, en segundo lugar <strong>Fleur Faure<\/strong> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.poloandbike.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Poloandbike<\/a>) y, en tercer puesto, <strong>Kacey Lloyd<\/strong> (<strong>Long Tail Creative<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>MEN\u2019S CRIT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El plato fuerte estaba servido. El espect\u00e1culo que todos est\u00e1bamos esperando estaba a punto de comenzar.<\/p>\n<p>La oscuridad de la noche, la euforia del p\u00fablico, los incesantes flashes de los fot\u00f3grafos, David Trimble anunciando la tradicional cuenta atr\u00e1s y los corredores cien por cien concentrados ansiando arrancar.<\/p>\n<p>Three, two\u2026one\u2026! Go! Comenzaba la lucha por la edici\u00f3n n\u00famero 8 del RHC Brooklyn.<\/p>\n<p>Como era de esperar, <strong>Mario Paz Duque<\/strong> (<a href=\"http:\/\/rawcyclingmag.com\/iride-fixed-modena\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IRIDE Team<\/a>), consigui\u00f3 hacerse con la primera vuelta seguido por un gran pelot\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>La cabeza de carrera, compuesta por un gran n\u00famero de <em>riders<\/em>, rodaba a un ritmo vertiginoso.<\/p>\n<p>Hubo varios intentos de fuga por parte de Paolo Bravini y <a href=\"http:\/\/rawcyclingmag.com\/thibaud-lhenry-el-rey-de-brooklyn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Thibaud Lenry<\/a>, ambos del <a href=\"http:\/\/rawcyclingmag.com\/team-cinelli-chrome\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Team Cinelli Chrome<\/a>, pero todos fallidos. Algunos otros tambi\u00e9n intentaron romper el grupo de cabeza pero, si hay que destacar la actuaci\u00f3n de alg\u00fan corredor en especial, es el caso de <strong>Chas Christiansen<\/strong> (<strong>Mash<\/strong>) que nos brind\u00f3 una emocionante carrera liderando durante varias vueltas el pelot\u00f3n y realizando varios ataques que a m\u00e1s de uno le dej\u00f3 desconcertado. Chas dej\u00f3 claro que no vino a New York a conocer la ciudad, ven\u00eda dispuesto a ganar.<\/p>\n<p>A tres vueltas del final, hubo una importante ca\u00edda en la \u00faltima curva antes del paso por meta en la que se vieron afectados bastantes corredores del primer grupo, <strong>Mario Paz Duque<\/strong> (<strong>IRIDE<\/strong>), <strong>Pablo Rodr\u00edguez<\/strong> (<strong>Poloandbike<\/strong>) y Chas, fueron tres de los muchos que se vieron afectados por el incidente y se quedaban sin opciones de p\u00f3dium. Pese a ello, Chas consigui\u00f3 acabar en la posici\u00f3n 50 y llevarse el premio <strong>TOP Antagonist<\/strong> por la carrera que hizo.<\/p>\n<p>Finalmente y, decidi\u00e9ndose en el sprint final, consigui\u00f3 la victoria <strong>Ivan Ravaioli<\/strong> del <strong>Bahumer Racing Team<\/strong>, seguido por el espa\u00f1ol <strong>Lu\u00eds Junquera<\/strong> de <strong>Poloandbike<\/strong> y, en tercer lugar, <strong>Ra\u00fal Torres<\/strong> de <strong>Leader Bikes<\/strong>. Una vez m\u00e1s, <strong>Red Hook Crit<\/strong> ha demostrado ser la carrera de pi\u00f1\u00f3n fijo de m\u00e1s alto nivel competitivo de la escena actual, reuniendo a corredores muchas
