Apoyo de marcas de gran relevancia de todo el mundo, asistencia de grandes equipos, y la participaci\u00f3n de <em>riders<\/em> como <strong>Neil Bezdek<\/strong>, campe\u00f3n del Red Hook Crit 2013, <strong>Stefan Vis<\/strong> del equipo F.A.S.T. Amsterdam y reciente ganador de la Red Bull Race The Place, <strong>Mr. Chas<\/strong> del equipo Mash SF y\u00a0<strong>Cooper Ray<\/strong>, entre muchos otros.\u00a0Tambi\u00e9n estuvo presente el legendario ciclista <strong>Alfred Bob\u00e9 Jr.<\/strong>, <strong>Lucas<\/strong> <strong>Brunelle<\/strong> y sus dos c\u00e1maras, y <strong>David Trimble<\/strong>, qui\u00e9n dio su apoyo al evento.<\/p>\n<p>Para relatarnos este importante evento ciclista pudimos contar con la ayuda de nuestro amigo <strong>David Rosado<\/strong>, de <a title=\"Zum-Zum Mensajer\u00eda\" href=\"http:\/\/zum-zum.biz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Zum-Zum Mensajer\u00eda<\/strong><\/a>. Muchas gracias por tu ayuda y colaboraci\u00f3n David.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Ya que no soy periodista os narrar\u00e9 el evento desde mi percepci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Viernes, 25 de abril<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El viernes por la tarde sal\u00ed de casa con mi mochila, y la c\u00e1mara de fotos, dispuesto a documentar los acontecimientos del Alleycat. Asignados los puntos de cotejo <em>checkpoints<\/em> preguntaron quien acompa\u00f1ar\u00eda a mi amiga Mari (quien no dir\u00e9 su nombre real para proteger su identidad) y como no vi amague alguno, levant\u00e9 la mano para que no corriese la suerte de quedarse sola, quien sabe, si en alg\u00fan lugar peligroso.<\/p>\n<p>Con nuestras bicis al hombro bajamos las escaleras, y entre los m\u00e1s de 80 participantes salimos de la tienda <strong>Ciclo-Canibal<\/strong>, yo simplemente la segu\u00eda sin saber a d\u00f3nde nos dirig\u00edamos. Llegamos a la <em>Central High School<\/em>, localizada en la Avenida Ponce de Le\u00f3n, una de las avenidas principales de la capital, subimos las escalinatas y nos colocamos al final de las escaleras, donde los participantes solo alcanzar\u00edan a vernos gracias a las luces de nuestros veloc\u00edpedos (esas fueron las instrucciones).<\/p>\n<p>\u00a1Comienza el Alleycat! Tom\u00f3 un poco m\u00e1s de diez minutos hasta que comenzaron a llegar los ciclistas, por grupos, en manadas, algunos casos en pareja y en casos m\u00e1s aislados, alguno en solitario. Por razones obvias, los extranjeros siempre pegados a la rueda de alg\u00fan ciclista local y como no, all\u00ed estaba con sus dos c\u00e1maras el <strong>Sr. Lucas Brunelle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>No Te Quites Crew (#NTQ)<\/strong> se distingue por organizar Alleycats complejos y este no era para menos, contaba con tres manifiestos. Nunca supe los puntos, pero estoy seguro que se tuvo que pedalear mucho. Adem\u00e1s la planificaci\u00f3n de San Juan no es una en la que las calles sigan un patr\u00f3n, es decir al estilo de ciudades como NY, Barcelona y ciudades sin un desparrame como la nuestra, lo cual le suma dificultad.<\/p>\n<p>El \u00faltimo checkpoint fue en la Calle Cesar Gonz\u00e1lez, donde se exhibieron las fotograf\u00edas de <strong>Manuel V\u00e9lez<\/strong>, quien es tambi\u00e9n uno de los ciclistas urbanos puertorrique\u00f1os de mayor desempe\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p>La carrera la gan\u00f3 <strong>Luis Rafael Robles<\/strong>, fundador de <strong>PRFixed<\/strong>, due\u00f1o de Eco-Mensajer\u00eda y uno de los organizadores de #FIJATE.<\/p>\n<p>Al finalizar la carrera la cosa no se acaba ah\u00ed, para los puertorrique\u00f1os cualquier motivo es m\u00e1s que bueno para festejar, las complicaciones llegan para los participantes del Crit\u00e9rium; es el momento de decidir si irse a descansar o quedarse un poco m\u00e1s\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>S\u00e1bado, 26 de abril<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Eran ya las 12:00 del mediod\u00eda y no acababa de salir para el Coliseo de Puerto Rico, el t\u00edpico y maldito pinchazo antes de salir de casa.<\/p>\n<p>Finalmente llego justo a tiempo para la carrera final, la modalidad sin frenos \u201cBreak Less\u201d. Las expectativas eran muy grandes se esperaba una carrera muy intensa, sobre todo por el calibre de los participantes.<\/p>\n<p>Despu\u00e9s de la vuelta de reconocimiento, llega el momento esperado \u00a1Y cantan la salida! Se siente la lucha por las primeras posiciones, esa primera vuelta es la m\u00e1s delicada, donde pueden ocurrir las ca\u00eddas.<\/p>\n<p>El circuito m\u00e1s que veloz era t\u00e9cnico, tres curvas de 180\u00ba, aun as\u00ed el ritmo era trepidante. Eduardo Col\u00f3n, del equipo <strong>Impulse Stage Puerto Rico<\/strong>, quien sali\u00f3 de los tabloncillos del Vel\u00f3dromo para probar el asfalto en los Crit\u00e9riums, siempre estuvo colocado en las primeras posiciones y en las primeras vueltas sorprende realizando una escapada. El p\u00fablico emocionado, no paraba de alentarle.<\/p>\n<p>Eduardo estuvo dominando la carrera y logr\u00f3 tomar una ventaja de aproximadamente 18 segundos, la distancia fue mermando vuelta a vuelta. Se ve\u00eda a un Chas castigado por un sol, que desde su punto m\u00e1s cenital apaciblemente nos cocinaba. Finalmente Eduardo Col\u00f3n fue absorbido por su compa\u00f1ero Edgardo Richiez, que lleva a cabo un segundo ataque, qued\u00e1ndose en solitario. El p\u00fablico extasiado no paraba de gritar y festejar, los puertorrique\u00f1os estaban machacando a la crema de los ciclistas internacionales.<\/p>\n<p>La carrera segu\u00eda restando vueltas, las luchas m\u00e1s intensas se daban en los grupos seguidores. Las batallas individuales para no ser rebasado por el primero. Las vueltas suced\u00edan con tal celeridad que no se alcanzaba saber si hab\u00edan rebasado a Richiez \u00bfQui\u00e9n iba primero, quien segundo, quien era el primer grupo o el segundo? S\u00f3lo por la moto pude descifrar quien estaba a la cabeza y efectivamente, segu\u00eda solitario, <strong>Edgardo Richiez<\/strong>, quien al final y sin problemas venci\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>Nuevamente y despu\u00e9s de una gran labor estrat\u00e9gica en la primera mitad de la carrera, <strong>Eduardo Col\u00f3n<\/strong> sorprende a sus contrincantes en un incre\u00edble sprint, haci\u00e9ndose con la segunda posici\u00f3n. El tercer puesto fue para <strong>Pablo Rodr\u00edguez<\/strong>, del equipo <strong>Polo &amp; Bike (ESP),<\/strong> quien luci\u00f3 muy bien a lo largo de la carrera y siempre estuvo delante con los mejores. En la cuarta posici\u00f3n <strong>Stefan Vis<\/strong> del equipo <strong>F.A.S.T. Amsterdam<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Al finalizar la carrera Alfred Bob\u00e9 Jr. mientras se hidrataba, confraternizaba con sus colegas y el p\u00fablico. Todos comentaban sobre la estrategia empleada por el equipo Impulso Stage (PUR).<\/p>\n<p>La carrera estuvo muy bien organizada y sin incidentes. La asistencia del p\u00fablico fue impresionante, pr\u00e1cticamente rodeaba todo el circuito.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Domingo, 27 de abril<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Los que jugamos \u201cBike-Polo\u201d, que es tambi\u00e9n es un deporte practicado a lo largo y ancho del globo por ciclistas urbanos, nos quedamos con las ganas de ver un torneo. Sin embargo, s\u00ed se realiz\u00f3 una carrera de \u201cCiclo Cross\u201d, nada en contra de este deporte, sino todo lo contrario; teniendo tantas monta\u00f1as no comprend\u00eda por qu\u00e9 no llegase de una vez. No obstante, es un deporte rural, as\u00ed explica su historia G\u00e9o Lef\u00e8vre, quien en 1903 invent\u00f3 este deporte (tambi\u00e9n el Tour de Francia):<\/p>\n<p>\u201cImaginad un ciclista que ha estado en tiempos de guerra, tenga que rodar por malas carreteras, pedalear o trotar a trav\u00e9s de bosques, sembrad\u00edos, franquear fosas\u2026as\u00ed sabr\u00e9is cual es el principio del cross ciclo pedestre.\u201d (Lef\u00e8vre)<\/p>\n<p>Los domingos son los d\u00edas de Bici-Polo, as\u00ed que me perd\u00ed el evento de Ciclo Cross.<\/p>\n<p>Unos d\u00edas m\u00e1s tarde, me cruzo con Manuel V\u00e9lez y Lucas Brunelle, luego a Stefan Vis. El tr\u00f3pico debe provocar muy pocas ganas de regresar al fr\u00edo y es que la experiencia del <strong>FIJATE<\/strong> por <strong>PRFixed<\/strong>, transciende el evento, es la hospitalidad y el calor Boricua.<\/p>\n<p>En fin, el FIJATE cada a\u00f1o sigue prometiendo: m\u00e1s auspiciadores, la participaci\u00f3n sigue en aumento, buena organizaci\u00f3n.
